Scott is currently Chair of the Information and Records Management Society (IRMS). He joined the Executive Team of the IRMS in 2012 after winning the Society's New Professionals Award earlier that year. As the IRMS is a volunteer led organisation for a 'day job' Scott works as the Information Governance Strategy Lead for Essex County Council leading their GDPR implementation programme. Scott is experienced in various aspects of information law, information and records management and security and risk management. Scott also sits on the exam board for a Data Protection practitioner certificate within the UK.
